Pet TIPS From MDARD For This Holiday Season

As Michigan residents enjoy the Christmas and New Years celebrations with parties and travel, the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has put together six easy tips to take care of our pets during this hectic season.

Avoid feeding pets people food, make sure they have happy tummies. Keep holiday decorations out of reach and avoid giving them the temptation. Make sure their tags and identification are up to date. Make sure they have a quiet space to destress and decompress. Health wise, make sure your pet is fit for travel, and be sure they are up to date on the vaccinations to make sure they are only spreading joy. If they are sick, keep them at home.
