Car Manufacturers get DUPED into building these 3 cars! Who tricked them and HOW?

Lets talk about tree times car manufacturers got tricked into making cars that nobody wanted, not even the small vocal minority of people that claimed to want them. Be it in comments, or asking dealerships about certain models, options or trims, to auto journalists and media writing endless articles for their own personal needs, car companies find themselves listening, and building cars that ultimately go unsold, needing huge rebates and discounts and even then the cars just sit.
Car No 1, is a car that was so specific. It had to be a wagon, diesel, manual and…brown? Jalopnik commenters were the ones that pushed this car to production, leading to a massive sales flop that was overshadowed by another big scandal the manufacturer had. Oopsie!
Car No 2, is a car that on paper makes sense. Its not bad, but falls under a whole category of “Americans want a small truck”. And while this trend is based on legitimate needs, many manufacturers are taking cars, SUVs, crossovers and turning those into unibody trucks, like the new Ford Ranger, the Honda Ridgeline (first gen, since they seemed to have learned their lesson, but not enough) or the Rivian. Here’s the ingridients. Body on frame, separate bed, small size. Simple enough, and yet, Car No 2 falls short, even if it meets all those requirements.
Car No 3, while not the biggest financial loss, is the biggest moral loss, leaving Dodge with egg on their face (more egg I guess). Yes, you might already know, but I do cover a few more details on the lies regarding the 1970 Dodge Challenger “Black Hoax” car, and how Dodge beliebed! The car itself isnt bad, but was hyped as this historic car, to the point buyers shelled out nearly double the MSRP.
But if you watch RRG, then you already knew all this, and were wise enough to avoid being duped!
