North Korea shows footage of latest missile launch

A North Korean TV channel has broadcast video of the country’s latest missile launch. Korean Central Television showed footage, accompanied by dramatic music, of the missile being transported and its launch, interspersed with stills of Kim Jong Un apparently overseeing proceedings.

According to officials in South Korea and Japan, North Korea test-launched 2 missiles, the second an intercontinental ballistic missile theoretically capable of reaching anywhere in the US. They also report that this missile traveled just over 600 miles before splashing down in the sea northwest of Tokyo.
