Ten IDF soldiers, including battalion commanders, killed in Gaza battle

In one of the deadliest clashes during the IDF’s invasion of Gaza, ten IDF soldiers, including several high-ranking officers, were killed, and six others were wounded, according to an early Wednesday announcement by the army.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, IDF Chief-of-Staff Lt.-Gen. Herzi Halevi, and IDF Southern Command Chief Maj. Gen. Yaron Finkleman all mourned the fallen soldiers as tragic heroes.

Despite the somber news, they maintained an overall optimistic outlook on the war’s future trajectory.

The battle in Shejaia, northern Gaza, has seen success for the IDF, with approximately 350 terrorists reported killed.

The military anticipates clearing most of the area of Hamas’s major forces by the weekend, the Jerusalem Post reported.
