Ny Style Pizza Dough Part 2. Stretching and Baking your Pizza

Part 2 of the Art of making the perfect NY Style pizza in your home oven. Learn how to stretch and bake your pie to get the best pizzeria results.
Set your oven to 550 degrees F.
place your pizza stone on the center rack and let heat for at least an hour after your oven reaches max temp.
Bake your pie for 6 minutes using your favorite pizza pan with just the sauce.
Remove from oven and add your toppings
place directly on to your stone and bake for additional 6-7 minutes until cheese starts to separate.
Pizza made with lots of toppings require a few more minutes of baking time.
Remember keep a close eye on it because all ovens are different.
Pizza Sauce :
Cento peeled whole San Marzano tomatoes
put in processor or grind to desired smoothness.
add 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
1 tsps. of salt
1-1/2 tsp of oregano
1 tsp of ground up fresh garlic
being to a light boil reduce heat and let cook down for 30 minutes uncovered.
Let Sauce Cool Completely before adding to your pizza dough.
