Police open investigation into allegations of trafficking and slavery
Police in London have opened an investigation into allegations of trafficking and slavery following a Channel 4 News report on the escape and rescue of three Filipina women from domestic servitude.
One alleges she was raped by someone in the wealthy Middle Eastern household that recruited her. All three have now been accepted into the UK’s system for identifying potential victims of slavery but their futures are very uncertain, as Simon Israel reports.
