Bluff Point State Park CT 2022

Tyler and Hope grew up about 10 minutes away from Bluff Point State Park in Groton, CT. It is a very popular place for locals and tourists to ride bikes, ride horses, run, walk, kayak, fish, picnic, and take in the sites.
Although we have been out there hundreds of times, there are many side trails that are overlooked and we never took the chance to check out. One of these paths took us to Split Rock. According to the legend, in the winter of 1779-80 it got very cold and this giant rock split in half and sounded like a cannon shot!
Although bluff point is about a 3.5 mile loop, there are many trails that will take you to other parks and you can create a much longer ride.
