Our first experience of Oregon has certainly been a positive one. So much greenery and scenic views while driving in from Long View, WA. Our first stop was at the Bridal Veil Falls which is about a 10 minute drive from the Multnomah Falls parking lot. This was a nice short walk to a beautiful waterfall, and it wasn’t nearly as crowded as the main attraction. Multnomah falls is a two tiered waterfall with the upper, misty part of the waterfall dropping around 542’ and the lower falls dropping nearly 78’, totaling 620’ (if you go by the U.S. Forest Service😜.) Also, we forgot to mention in the video but the last waterfall we show in the video is horsetail falls, not far away and we linked some information on it below. These waterfalls are only about half an hour from Portland, Oregon so if you are planning your trip there, this is a great place to stop. What a memorable trip to Cody, Wyoming! We are glad we ended up exploring this place for a few days while we checked out the nearby national parks at Yellowstone and Grand Teton. We had a lot of fun visiting Devil’s Tower National Monument! We took the Red Bed’s Trail around Devil’s Tower which took a little while but was a beautiful hike that had some rough terrain but some incredible views. Then we took the Devil’s Tower Trail which was easier, more shaded, and had some information about Devil’s Tower scattered throughout. If you have the time, we’d recommend taking both hikes. We thought we’d be at Devil’s Tower for a few minutes to take some photos but it ended up being closer to 4.5 hours! Rushmore and Custer State Park 2022 | Part 1 We had such a fun time at this place! Custer State Park was a lot of fun and we spent about half a day here. Although we did the Wildlife Loop Road in the afternoon when animals are supposed to be hard to see, we saw a fair share. We visited the Custer State Park Visitor Center and then went up and down Iron Mountain Road! The roads at Custer State Park are windy, a bit narrow at times, and some of the tunnels can be a challenge, but we made it! As you exit the Scoval Johnson Tunnel you get an amazing view of Mount Rushmore. From there, we climbed the rest of the way up to the top of Iron Mountain, and had some tremendous views, including a better look at Mount Rushmore. From there, we went to go visit Mount Rushmore and it was breathtaking. We had heard from several people that it could be both underwhelming and overwhelming, but for us it was an incredible sight to see. After that, we went to our Harvest Host for the night at Naughti Wines/Sick N Twisted Brewery.
