UK households '10 per cent poorer than in France', Resolution Foundation says

The Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has warned that the party won't "quickly turn on the spending taps" if they win the next general election - insisting that economic growth must raise living standards in every community.
His speech came as a damning report by the Resolution Foundation think tank said the average British household was more than £8,000 worse off than those in countries like France and Germany.
