All Protein is NOT the same! (Why Plant Protein SUCKS & Makes you MENTAL)
Did you know all protein is NOT the same?
Plant Protein is NOT a better source of protein than Animal Protein!
The quality of a Protein is measured by its Amino Acids. Protein is called the build block for our body but
Amino Acids determine the blocks of Protein required to build what our body needs.
You body is NOT what is eats, your body is what is it able to absorb AND UTILIZE.
DIAAS (Digestible Indispensable Amino Acid Score) measures how much Protein can be absorbed from the food you eat.
- It is a better and more holistic metric than PDCAAS (Protein Digestibility-Correct Amino Acid Score).
- Animal Protein has high values of Absorption and Utilization
- The only Plant Protein that has a decent score is Chickpeas.
Animal Protein like Beef, Chicken, Eggs, Pork, Lamb, Goat, Bison, and Milk are Complete Proteins
which means they have all the required Amino Acids we need to live, and more!
Here are some Amino Acids we NEED to eat because the body cannot make it
1. Isoleucine (A LOT)
2. Leucine (A LOT)
3. Lysine (A LOT)
4. Methionine (Detox and Mineral Absorption)
5. Phenylalanine (Neurotransmitters)
6. Threonine (Skin and Immune Health)
7. Tryptophan (Required for Serotonin and Melatonin)
8. Valine (Muscles and Energy)
9. Histidine (A LOT)
The rest can be made by the body
Alanine, Arginine, Asparagine, Aspartic Acid, Cysteine, Glutamine,
Glycine, Proline, Serine, Tyrosine, Glutamic Acid
- Try to hit at least 75g of Protein a day, 30g is the minimum for Muscle Synthesis,
and that is excluding the rest of what your body needs Protein for.
- If you eat low protein or plant-based protein you may have a Protein deficiency when it comes to
Bad Digestion, Brittle Skin-Hair-Nails, Hormone Problems, Slow Wound Healing, Weak Bones
- Most importantly you need good quality complete protein for Mental Health support
as the body needs to make Neurotransmitters for Brain Function like Dopamine, Serotonin, Melatonin.
- There was even that study on Taurine for anti-aging, living longer, and may reverse Osteoporosis.
- Protein is important which is why we get it from Amino Acid rich sources of animal products.
