‘Approx. 200 airstrikes’ as Israel continues Gaza assault

With the ceasefire ended, the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) continues their ground assault of Gaza. A new video, released by the IDF, showcases the ongoing operation and the work of the ground troops, supported by the Israel Air Force. Israeli aviation units have recently conducted airstrikes against ‘approximately 200’ suspected Hamas positions.

The ground operation has only intensified following the conclusion of the ceasefire, leading many onlookers to speculate that Israel is hoping to permanently remove all traces of Hamas from Gaza before any new ceasefire can be negotiated. With reports of warnings given to the residents of Khan Younis, Gaza’s second largest city, expectations are rising that the IDF are expanding their operation to southern Gaza, and in turn, expectations are rising of more civilian casualties.
