I predicted months ago that not only the Ukrainian offensive would totally fail but also as soon as dark weather steps in, Russia would BREAK the Ukrainian frontline... As I argued a year and a half ago, the best option for Ukraine is to negotiate a long-term ceasefire along the existing lines in an agreement in which they commit to NEVER join NATO. That's the ONLY way for Ukraine to survive and keep what they still have.

Going to be hard for Ukraine to negotiate because the past (2014 agreements) has shown that NATO and Ukraine do not honor agreements. Russia will eventually offer the terms to end the conflict and Ukraine/NATO will have no choice.
