BPD Loved Ones - Unrequited Love Causes Heartbreak

An often asked question - part of healing after loving someone with BPD that I am often asked, is, "Are you sure he/she didn't love me?" that coupled with a lack of closure on top of all the pain (often) leaves the loved ones (even friends etc) with a such deep longing heartache that is more difficult because you weren’t really loved like you thought you were.
