How to change the oil on a 1998 Dodge Ram truck

To change the oil on a 1998 Dodge Ram truck, you need a new oil filter & new 10W-30 oil. You need a 5/8 inch socket, ratchet wrench, and an oil filter wrench. You need to remove the 5/8 inch bolt holding the old oil in, which is just behind the front axle in the middle, & let the old oil drain. You need to unscrew & replace the old oil filter, which is closer to the passenger side of the truck, just behind & above the front axle. Once everything is in place underneath the truck, then you pour in the new oil from up above under the hood of the truck. The old oil can be poured into an old clean milk jug or an old empty oil container & taken to an auto parts store to be recycled FOR FREE!
