Developed from the British JET PROVOST trainer which took to the skies in the late 1960s, the STRIKEMASTER added weapons to the Jet Provost and provided a light attack and CLOSE AIR SUPPORT platform for global export. The Strikemaster offered crews the ability to utilise unprepared airstrips and provided higher survivability during low-altitude ejections, and so was popular with many nations as a relatively affordable yet potent attack aircraft. Today’s AVIATION ART release depicts a Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) Strikemaster taking shape straight from the blueprint. Enjoy!
