Exploring Unknown & Roman buildings - Corbridge 🇬🇧
June 2023 I went to Corbridge outside Newcastle Upon Tyne to check out some Roman Ruins in the area. theres a lot as it was the Roman Frontier, with Hadrians wall.I found this strange building work in a field, so I trecked through, but couldnt get closer due to the cows, who looked like they would trample you as they were Beef cows, and see me as a food source (feeding, not eating me haha).
Wwhat do you think they are? are they old? they look pretty new and in good shape but have grassed over.
Then I went to the Roman site of Corbridge, with evidence of both Roman Concrete & the metal clamps used in South America to hold large stones in place. I have never seen this used in roman construction before. Is it used normally? I havent been able to find any evidence of this.
What do you think? please comment below.
