That’s not the case for these two kids, though, who are used to see the majestic bird up close. If you don’t believe it, watch how comfortably these two children feel when watching an eagle feed in front of their feet.

Instinctively, eagles are carnivorous animals that are looking for something to eat, or defending themselves from something that may be a threat, that’s just the nature of the beast.

"My husband had a perfect day of fishing, and whenever he fishes, he feeds the eagles. This day was perfect to record and watch such beautiful creatures”, says the licensor who uploaded this unusual video that occurred on June 18, 2016 in Klemtu, British Columbia.

Fish is the primary food of bald eagles, but they will eat a variety of other animals and birds. Their prey items include waterfowl and small mammals like squirrels, prairie dogs, raccoons and rabbits. Bald eagles are opportunistic predators meaning that in addition to hunting for live prey, they will steal from other animals (primarily from other eagles or smaller fish eating birds) or scavenge on carrion.
