$1500 Race-Built RC Monster Truck: Freestyle RC Pro-C. Is It Worth It? Is It Noticeably Better?

Ok. Let's lay it out. $1500 into a build like this carbon fiber chassis Freestyle RC Pro-C with their beefy aluminum axles and stout transmission. On top of that you have to buy internals for the axles, shocks, wheels, tires, body, motor, esc, receiver, and transmitter. Total all that together and you land around $1500 or more if you choose the most expensive parts. It's hard to think about the numbers at first, but when you add up what people put into SMT10s to get them race ready, it adds up quickly. I personally think the extra spend for the Pro-C or other race-built trucks is worth it if you plan to race them. Are they necessary? No. But did I notice a difference when I started running Pro-C trucks? Yes. You can see how they jump and recover to get the wheels put in the right direction.
