Impacts of Renewables on Australian Farmers and their Solutions
A year ago I interviewed NSW farmer Grant Piper on his communities efforts to push back against the renewable energy zone transplanted over their towns and farms. A year later he is going strong; chairing the newly formed Rational National Energy Network, a network to support communities as the wind turbines and solar farms are pushed into rural areas. The farmers are exhausted from pushing back, environmental concerns raised are dismissed, there is no discussion on food security as farmland is overtaken by renewable energy.
We can support farmers and the natural environment by coming along on Thursday 30th November 11a.m. at Martin Place. Details in the video.
This video includes excerpts from a longer interview with Grant, which will be up shortly.
