Building the Trumpeter 1/350 scale SMS Viribus Unitis WWI Dreadnought
In this 4th model ship build for the channel, we construct, paint and detail the World War I era Austro-Hungarian dreadnought SMS Viribus Unitis 1/350 scale model kit by Trumpeter Item No: 05364.
This vessel was the first in the world to ever sport triple mounted main gun turrets. It also transported Archduke Ferdinand and his wife Sophie during official functions as well as carry their bodies after their lives were taken – starting World War I.
This video could not have been made without the generous contributions of information from Naval Historian Andrew W. Wilkie of British Columbia, Canada.
