As a trainer, a big part of your job is critiquing clients and the way that they interact with or lead their dogs. This can be very difficult, so, it’s imperative that the critiques you’re giving are set up delivered in such a way that they are entirely constructive to the owner and can help them feel more confident. If you focus on building that confidence early on in the program as well, your clients will see that as they continue, any advice or knowledge you’re giving is to make their relationship with their dog BETTER.
