My visit to Beijing, China (2023) - Nobody told me Beijing was like THIS! 😥

I first visited Beijing, China in 2008 and had an INCREDIBLE time there. I went there for the purpose of visiting the Great Wall, but also took the chance to get out and explore the city. My favorite places ended up being Wangfujing Pedestrian Street (王府井) and Tiananmen Square (天安门). These two areas are just down the road from one another and both were lively places, full of life, energy and PEOPLE from ALL OVER THE GLOBE. I recently went back to visit again and I was literally heartbroken by what has happened to the city I used to love.
