UGANDA DEFEATS CAMEROON 2-0 IN FIRST LEG OF 2ND ROUND OF THE QUALIFIERS

The crested cranes Uganda’s women football team defeated Cameroon women 2-0 in the first leg of the of 2nd round of the Africa Olympic Games Women qualifiers.
The game played last evening at the FUFA Njeru technical center showed Uganda’s dominance from the start to finish with Catherine Nagadya scoring Uganda’s first goal in the 11th min and Fazila Ikwaput sealing the victory in the 77th min giving a 2-0 win and 2- 0 aggregate in the first leg.
Cameroon had some chances but couldn’t covert even a penalty in the 30th min taken by Ajara Njoya was saved by Uganda’s shot stopper Vanessa Karungi
With this win the crested cranes have an advantage as they head into the 2nd leg of the second round of the qualifiers to be played in Douala Cameroon on the 31st Oct 2023.
