Luxury Hotels of NYC | Walker Hotel

Our official Urbanist stance on hotels is that the only ones worth staying in are the ones where you get a full hotel experience. Otherwise might as well use Airbnb or go to a hostel in our opinion. Thus, the hotels we cover on Urbanist are the ones that we think make it worth the extra cost. May it because of its history, luxury, or the people who run it. In the Walker Hotel Greenwich Village it's all three.

Located in one of NYC's coolest neighborhoods, this is a hotel that is close to our hearts. The art deco interior design of the hotel is like traveling back to 1940s New York. The views are breathtaking. And the staff are composed of such amazing people, namely Chef Christopher Zabita who runs Society Cafe located inside the hotel. It's a true market-to-table resturant with the freshest ingredients from local farmers.
