Muslim tradition says that Mohammad traveled to the Al Aqsa Mosque on his famous night journey. And that journey is the basis of Palestinian claims to Jerusalem. But there is no record that the prophet Mohammad had ever been to the Mosque. Historians say Mohammad's armies did not arrive in Jerusalem until five years after his death. The city of Jerusalem isn't mentioned once in the Koran. While the Hebrew bible mentions Jerusalem 600 times. Jerusalem history needs to be told. At the time of Mohammad it was a Christian city without a single Mosque. Several Muslim scholars say the Al Aqsa Mosque was built around 690 AD. While Mohammad died in 632 AD. So how could Mohammad's famous night journey have taken him to a mosque that wasn't even built yet? The problem arises because Muslims believe once they conquered a land that it was theirs permanently. Yet at the beginning of the 20th century Muslim leaders did firmly acknowledge the Temple Mounts Jewish history. These facts need to be told about Jerusalem history of the holy land to the masses.
