A little history about this place, it was originally called the Thunderbird Motor Hotel built in 1959. The hotel was famous for events, conferences, vacations, and performances. Celebs like Fats Domino and Walter Cronkite visited. -The hotel had over 300 luxury rooms, a large hot tub and pool area, tiki bars at the pool, and a large 22ft wide chandelier that was also 78ft tall inside it's famous King's Restaurant. -The property suffered after further development in the Southside area, a drop in the hotel industry, and many management changes 💨
