But Yousef Hammash is a Gazan filmmaker and an advocacy officer for the Norwegian Refugee Council who's been sending us eyewitness reports on what life is like there.
He heeded Israel's call for civilians to relocate south, moving his family to Khan Younis in search of safety.
But as he explains - now - nowhere is safe.
