Strange Lights Appear Over Salt Lake City, Utah

The people in Salt Lake City were treated to a very unusual sighting in the sky past Saturday, which was more than enough for the conspiracy theorists. Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Nope, just a trio of bright yellow lights, descending towards the horizon in a zigzag pattern.

The video, shot around 8 o’clock in the evening, shows the formation of lights shining bright and not leaving almost any trail in the sky above Utah’s capital city. The lights seem to be moving independently from each other, which prompted witnesses to make their assumptions. The unusual sight made people speculate what the cause of it might be; shooting stars, aliens maybe...or maybe it is a satellite that broke down and is burning out in the atmosphere. Good thing we have plenty of time on our hands to make up some other stories.

A similar video online shows four lights falling towards the ground in a similar fashion, with people saying that they might be lanterns that went rogue during a recent festival. That sounds promising...

The people of Tucson, Arizona, had a very similar event over their heads during dusk, but at least they had a better reason to think the trio of lights in their sky were an alien ship. Just look at that thing! Although, there have been accounts of a black government project called TR-3 Black Manta, a triangular anti-gravity surveillance aircraft for the United States Air Force, that has been tested in the nearby area. Though that is also subject of speculation.
