Ear mites in rabbits and treatment
Rabbit ears are infested with mites (a species of Psoroptes cuniculi) that form a crust on the inside of the ear, initially, and on the hair later.
Eventually the animal - if left to its fate - dies
Paraffin oil, as experience shows, is the absolute solution (perhaps the only one) when the infection is severe. The animal is relieved in a few days (or weeks, in heavier cases) by 100%
In the video incident the infection was advanced for this and more oil was used than usual
