UBC AT 60 : HOW UBC HAS GROWN OVER THE YEARS SINCE 1963

A year after Uganda gained independence in 1962, there grew a need for effective National Communication.
This led to the establishment of the first television station in the country on the eve of the first independence anniversary on the 8th of October 1963.
Uganda broadcasting service as it was known has since transformed into Uganda Broadcasting Corporation UBC TV, a journey which the Corporation Leadership agrees has been worthwhile and interesting.
