System Shock Remake is here! Originally this came out in 1994! Can't wait to play more of it!

Playing System Shock Remake is like taking a step back into the 90s or the early 2000s gaming wise. What a little gem. I cannot believe they made this, and they made it really good! Description: System Shock Remake is a remake of the cult classic original from 1994, combining old-school gameplay with all-new High Definition graphics made with Unreal engine, updated controls, an overhauled interface. Plus there's all-new sounds & music. And they even brought back the original voice actor of SHODAN, so the iconic AI villain is back! Playing with energy weapons, sci-fi shotguns, battling robots, cyborgs, recycling stuff, and dealing with zombified humans, weirdo tech puzzles, and much more! The 3rd and final video of System Shock remake first level playthrough. After this I'll just do interesting clips, as the amount of cuts, for someone just having fun with this, is eating up way too much of my time since the game has a lot of inventory management and backtracking that's required to progress. I made it to level 2! Finally getting the hang of this game! Review coming when I manage to finish the darn thing, and maybe a few more vids in between that!

I blew up planet Earth! Whoops! Guess the button should have had a proper label! Still, this was one of the funniest "You Died" sequences I have yet seen in a video game! Refreshing!

System Shock is game that is a total blast to the past. I will be working on a review once I finish it, but so far, it's pretty cool!

I have to give the devs some credit, the attention to detail is far beyond a typical remake. This game is just so atmospheric. If only the soundtrack was more juicy!

I can't believe I missed the armoury on the first stage of System Shock! I wound up going to heal up on Level 1 cause I can't find a healing bed on Level 2, and came across the door I forgot to open the first time around!

Well, if your game has a broken coffee machine, I don't even need to review it. It's an automatic ZERO out of ten.

System Shock Remake. So, I have no idea where to go, what to do, or what to accomplish. The game is gorgeous. And it's probably true to its roots. However, if you're coming off modern FPS, or even System Shock 2, this game leaves a lot to be desired. Ok, yes, all you have to do is defeat Shodan, but because you are able to go around into areas you're probably not supposed to be in, and there's no clear direction on opening areas or paths, the game just feels broken from the core gameplay standpoint. And this is getting so bad, that I don't really want to play anymore. To heal most of the time, I had to run down the Medical level more often than I wanted to, because getting healing items is actually quite difficult, and from what I can tell, not every level has a healing pod. The inventory is also really bad, and I'm not able to upgrade the capacity yet (or maybe there isn't an upgrade for that). The size of the inventory is really, really bad. This causes tons of running back and forth to the Recycler and storing weapons and items in crates, that you will have to custom mark on the map so you don't forget where you left them (and there's only one marker type too, which adds to the confusion).

Nearly Murdered by the darn Radiation, annoying map design, and Shodan not being all that helpful.

The System Shock Remake playthrough is progressing, but slowly, this game really isn't exactly what you just want to play every night, but I do understand the appeal of it. Before I work on a review, I will attempt to get through as much of it as I can, before I give up, trying to solve the most annoying puzzles of all time.
