Exploring One of The World's Most Extensive Lava Tube Caves: Australia's Undara Volcanic Park
7 months ago

The Undara Volcanic National Park in Queensland, Australia, is home to one of the most extensive lava flow systems from a single volcanic eruption. Known as both lava tubes and lava caves, these remarkable formations were created around 190,000 years ago when flowing lava solidified on the outside while the molten lava inside continued to flow, leaving behind hollow, tunnel-like structures. These geological wonders, which can be referred to as either lava tubes or lava caves, offer fascinating insights into volcanic processes and are a significant attraction for both tourists and scientists.
