South Africa came into the 2007 Rugby World Cup hoping to win the tournament but perhaps not expecting to do so. Coach Jake White had taken over with the team at its lowest point but rebuilt the squad and achieved the ultimate goal at the end of 2007 by winning the Rugby World Cup.

In this video Peter looks back at the White era and gives his honest assessment of how the 2007 Springboks compare in the annals of Bok Rugby history. You’ll also hear first-hand from some of the players who were actually there.

Peter says: I love the Springboks and rugby is one of my favourite sports. Although as a sports journalist I am supposed to remain neutral, I always like to point out that before I became a professional, I was just a big fan! I hold a Masters Degree in International Journalism so at least you know I should be able to ask a good question or two! My dream is to do this YouTube Channel permanently.
