What's the purpose of education? Jim McMurtry discussed his views on this and many other topics including the roots of social justice, the importance of speaking out, and how critical thinking has lost currency in education.
Jim has several decades of experience as an educator and even has a Doctorate in Education with a specialization in indigenous studies. He gained notoriety a few years ago when his school board disciplined him for questioning the official narrative around the residential schools.
It gets heated at times and I think we both enjoyed the debate!
