In this video, I’ll answer a question that I received: is there any problem with having a c-section instead of a vaginal birth?
One problem is that research shows that babies born by c-section are more likely to be overweight because they’re not exposed to the type of bacteria from the mother that is found in thinner children. As well, these babies also have a higher risk of having hypoglycemia, or low blood sugar.
The significance of this is that the microbes in someone’s intestines have enormous influence over their metabolism and thus how much weight they gain or lose.
Having a baby by c-section can impact their health.
