In October 2016, I set off on a two and a half month journey to Southeast Asia. These are the highlights from my trip.

I flew to India for my connecting flight to Bangkok, Thailand, where I met three of my friends: Nathan, Rachel and Alice. From here we made our way north where we visited Chang Man and Pai.

We then got a bus to Chang Rai and then to the Thai-Laos border and did a two-day slow boat to Luang Prabang. We went South to Vang Vieng, and then on to the capital, Vientiane.

From here, we opted to fly to Hanoi, Vietnam, rather than take the 24 hour bus ride, and then spent a few days in Sapa. We then sent some time Cat Ba island, before I said goodbye to the guys and returned to Hanoi to fly to Hong Kong.

In Hong Kong I had the privilege of meeting my friend Dec and his family before we jumped back on a plane together to Da Nang, Vietnam.

Here we met the other three and James, another of our friends who came from Indonesia to join us. We scooted our way round various places and made our way south through Nha Trang, Da Lat and Ho Chi Minh, before relaxing on Phu Quoc island.

We then made our way to the Cambodian border and met two more friends in Phnom Penh. The eight of us made our way to Kampot and then Sihanoukville, where we got a boat to Koh Rong. After relaxing not he beaches for a few days we went up to Siem Reap and visited Ankor Wat. I said my goodbyes to the guys and returned to Bangkok to fly home just in time for Christmas!
