covering pages 38-41 and what it means to democratizing a classroom.

The Purpose of education is changing. This is more of Paulo Friere's Methods that students and teachers are equal in the education process. I don't disagree that this can in some ways be a very illuminating experience but it depends strongly on the teachers intent. Are the questions guided to a particular outcome? The resources from Ethnic Studies say resoundingly YES. The objective is to move the kids toward creating a more socially "just" society, (Think BLM.)
Are books with heavy subjects bad or too much for kids to read? Can they be used correctly? incorrectly? How much emphasis is put on literacy rather than LIBERATION?

Well my friends, I need a break so I'll be back Monday to tackle more pages.

Remember, Knowledge is power! and also the Word Democracy is nowhere is our founding documents for a reason.
