@Rockfunfacts 🤘🎸🎶🤘

Van Halen was formed in Pasadena, California, in 1972 by guitarist Eddie Van Halen, drummer Alex Van Halen, bassist Michael Anthony, and vocalist David Lee Roth.
Van Halen released their self-titled debut album in 1978.

The band's early years were defined by the energetic and flamboyant frontman David Lee Roth, who left the band in 1985.
The band briefly worked with singer Gary Cherone, and the resulting album, "Van Halen III," was released in 1998. Which in many opinions didn’t at all sound like VanHalen.
One of Van Halen's biggest hits, "Jump," was released in 1984 and featured Eddie Van Halen playing the synthesizer which wasn’t a great idea to DLR according to some sources.
After Roth's departure, Sammy Hagar replaced him as the lead vocalist. The band continued to produce successful albums during Hagar's tenure, including "5150" and "Balance"
Van Halen was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007.
The band has sold over 80 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling rock bands in history.
Van Halen released over a dozen studio albums during their career, including "1984," "Fair Warning," and "Balance.Van Halen required that M&M’s be supplied in their dressing room with all brown M&Ms removed. The reasoning was not to be difficult or an aversion to a particular color, but rather a test to see if the concert promoter actually read the contract and therefore paid attention to detail and could meet all of the technical details that went into the band’s production for that evening’s performance.
