#agroforestry and Food Security
Agroforestry, which involves planting local and safe species in between bamboo, plays a significant role in bamboo plantations. This practice not only enhances food security but also enables the production of indirect food products such as goat cheese, plantains, and jackfruit. Growing bamboo alongside other crops ensures nutrition, agroforest resistance, and marketable excesses.
#bamboo Wood Production and #biochar
Bamboo plantation offers more than just carbon sequestration. Each hectare of land can produce a significant amount of bamboo and other crops. Bamboo wood mass and biochar are two valuable by-products. Bamboo can be sold as a source of income, and the unused parts can be used to produce biochar through pyrolysis, a process that carbonizes organic matter. This circular system ensures efficient use of resources and eliminates waste.
