More solid work is being done to help those who are battling addictions and mental illness in our First Nations communities.

That is according to Charles Weaselhead, the vice-chair of the Blood Tribe Department of Health.

Weaselhead says the Blood Tribe will be receiving a recovery community.

Construction for the facility is expected to be completed by late 2024 at a price tag of $30 million which will be covered by Alberta taxpayers.
