The Community Foundation of Lethbridge announced three new grant program applications. The funds will go to charities throughout SW Alberta. The Community Priorities will dish out $550,000, and the Henry S. Varley Fund for Rural Life will give out $200,000. The Youth in Action grant will be the third grant. Staff from the Community Foundation say the charitable sector is facing a lot of challenges and this money will be able to help many nonprofits moving forward.

The Community Foundation helped to distribute $1.1 million in grant funding throughout the last year.
