Brush up or Die - Can you make a Survival Fire?

This is a real experiment. We have had rain for the past 2 days. We receive an annual rain fall of 96" of rain here in this part of the Smokey Mountains. In a follow up video ( once I get time I will go out in the rain and show you how to make a Survival Fire in the rain using FAT WOOD )

In survival I would say the most important skill set to MASTER is learning how to make a FRICTION FIRE with NATURAL materials. Had this been an actual emergency I would have made a second attempt in about 5 hours once the birch bark dried out in my pocket....or I would have wandered to the other side of the stream and found some FAT WOOD. FAT WOOD is the perfect WET WEATHER tinder.
