Join me for a virtual walking tour around historic Port Adelaide. As the name suggests, Port Adelaide is the historic port of the capital city of the state of South Australia - Adelaide. Founded in 1837, just 1 year after the foundation of Adelaide, Port Adelaide retains many of it's heritage buildings. There are 11 pubs in the area, founded between 1849 and 1879. The Port is undergoing a transformation of late, changing from a working port to a residential area. Port Adelaide is also known for it's football club founded in 1870 - the Port Adelaide Football Club, known as the Power in the Australian Football League and the Magpies in the local South Australian league.
