Founded in 1848, Salisbury takes it's name from Salisbury in England. Salisbury started as a service centre for the surrounding wheat and hay farms. The Post Office opened in 1850. Situated 25km from the South Australian capital - Adelaide, Salisbury today has an abundance of parks, shops, cafes and restaurants.
