Dog Under-Socialized From COVID Progress Update

Buckfield is the perfect example of a dog whose under-socialization issues were exacerbated by COVID. His lack of exposure to even being in the same space as other people caused some pretty severe issues with him. He had become extremely aggressive towards guests once life began to go back to normal post COVID. And because of this, his owners have not had any more guests in THREE YEARS. Our main objective with Buckfield has been to build his confidence and obedience so that he is safe to be around. So far he has been making quite significant progress. As we continue to work with him, our focus is on simply setting up scenarios, working on his duration, and helping him to realize that when new people are around, they aren’t going to mess with him. He’s not finished yet, but he has coke leaps and bounds from the dog he was when he began training. Great work Buckfield!
