can shape the desert…
one grain at a time.

I have lost myself
in these dunes;
building and building,
but all
in ruins.

Ruin me, O Shaper of sand!

That this heap
may be shaped again
into the trail
of seekers.

Let them
tread on top my ruins,
and in their love for You,
become ruined.

For this endless desert
we call our dear life
is only here to reveal
what you concealed in the night.

Carry me, my sweet Wind—
carry me anywhere.
Only on your wings of Love…
does this grain escape despair.
