Electric Cars: yes, no or somewhere in between? Phasing out gas cars by 2035

On July 26, 2023 Connecticut became the latest state to announce it will require all new car sales to be zero-emission vehicles in 2035 and beyond.
We will be joined by California, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon and Washington.
I drive an electric car as my primary vehicle, so here is my take without diving in too deep. Politics aside, there are many cons to driving electric vehicles.
