Cleaning the CGS Qube Comp

Well, I decided to break down the CGS Qube I showed off on the last Platypus video. As you saw, it was twisting off. I could not get it properly installed. Found out why!! Very full of carbon deposits. I had to hit on it to get it busted apart, but in this video I show how filthy it was and what it looks like properly cleaned.
I also show how to install it and what the pieces do. I figured out a way around YouTube's firearm part installation nonsense. I just install it on my finger!! Had to have some fun with this. But I think you will understand how it all works. Inner core is tightened to the barrel, then the outer copy body is pinched onto the inner core. When it's all installed you have an easy to install and remove compensator. Just remember to take it off and clean more often than I obviously did!!
This is a good example of what happens if you run a comp and let it go too long between cleanings. This took way too much effort. I'll be keeping a closer eye on this in the future and cleaning much more regularly.

Stay tuned to the next videos. I'll be getting this back on the Platypus and do some better tests to see if I can stay on target better and get some faster splits with it on! Find out if it makes a noticeable difference.

I appreciate you watching and I hope you have a great rest of your day!!
