The airline industry is in need of mechanics and Lansing Community College want to help fill those jobs with its students. The school announced a partnership with Delta Airlines on Thursday. Delta was drawn to the college's aviation technology program, which allows students to get an FAA license for aircraft maintenance and repair. Starting salaries for maintenance jobs can be as high as $50,000 a year. There will be plenty of them in the near future, because current mechanics are getting closer to retirement age.
