Biden Officially Abandons East Palestine

In early February 2023 a train carrying tons of toxic chemicals derailed in the small town of East Palestine, Ohio. Shortly after the derailment local officials decided it was the best idea to burn the chemical in the derailed cars before there is the potential for a larger uncontrollable explosion. Resulting from the chemical burn, a huge chemical plume of smoke covered the sky, effectively contaminating the air and water. Many locals expressed frustration with state officials handling of the emergency. As a result many felt forgotten. President Trump visited East Palestine on February 22 and arrived with some relief supplies. Shortly after Trump's visit, the White House announced that it would send aid to East Palestine as well. Fast forward 6 months, President Biden states that he does not have time to visit East Palestine despite affirming he would.
